What disc formats can be read by the Kaleidescape System?
Strato System
Kaleidescape Alto and the DV700 Disc Server can read DVD, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW,and Blu-ray discs. DualDiscs can be read by Alto, but these discs are wider than standard discs and can become stuck when inserted into a Kaleidescape Disc Server.NOTE: Strato systems do not support the import of discs. DVDs and Blu-ray discs may be cataloged so that they can be shown in the on-screen user interface, just like content downloaded from the Kaleidescape Movie Store.
Premiere System and Cinema One
The M500 Player, the M700 Disc Vault, the DV700 Disc Vault and Cinema One (2nd generation) can read CD Audio, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW,and Blu-ray discs. DualDiscs can be read by the M500 Player and Cinema One, but these discs are wider than standard discs and can become stuck when inserted into a Kaleidescape Disc Vault.
Most Kaleidescape legacy players can read CD Audio, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD+R, DVD-R and DVD+RW.
