Any Kaleidescape System can download from the Kaleidescape Movie Store. DVD quality downloads from the movie store can be played using any Kaleidescape player. Blu-ray quality downloads from the movie store can only be played using an M-Class player. 4K HDR and 4K Ultra HD downloads from the movie store can only be played using a Kaleidescape Strato.
4K HDR downloads additionally require an HDR-compatible display connected to a Kaleidescape Strato. Many 4K HDR purchases from the movie store allow download of additional qualities for compatibility with non-HDR displays and other Kaleidescape players.
Kaleidescape’s proprietary M-Class architecture, introduced in 2010, is a powerful movie player platform that supports Blu-ray playback and high-definition user interfaces. Kaleidescape’s M-Class players include the M300, M500, M700, Cinema One (second generation), and Kaleidescape Alto. They are distinguished from Kaleidescape’s earlier players by their ability to play Blu-ray discs and Blu-ray quality content.
While not part of the same product family, the Kaleidescape Strato remains fully compatible with both Blu-ray and DVD quality downloads from the Kaleidescape Movie Store.
The Kaleidescape Strato, introduced in 2015, is the first product in a new line of players that support 4K HDR and 4K Ultra HD playback, as well as ultra high-definition user interfaces. It is compatible with all downloads from the Kaleidescape Movie Store. An HDR-compatible display connected to a Kaleidescape Strato is required to playback 4K HDR downloads.
Kaleidescape Co-Star allows all Kaleidescape system owners to upgrade to the new Kaleidescape Strato movie player so they can enjoy 4K Ultra HD movies in their homes, while maintaining seamless access to disc-based content stored on a Premiere or Cinema One system.

Blu-ray quality and DVD quality downloads are delivered with audio and video quality that matches that of a Blu-ray Disc or DVD. Many movie store titles also feature bonus material, such as deleted scenes, documentaries, production featurettes, and directors’ commentary. Downloads integrate with your catalogued or imported disc library, supporting favorite moments (thanks to Kaleidescape Scenes and song bookmarks in concerts and musicals).
