Can the integrated player in the M700 Disc Vault play a disc that has not been imported?
On a Premiere system purchased from Kaleidescape after Nov. 30, 2014, the M700 Disc Vault can play a CSS-protected DVD, but the system must catalog it first. Blu-ray discs and non CSS-protected DVDs must be imported to the server before they can be played from the integrated player in the M700 Disc Vault.
On Premiere systems purchased from Kaleidescape before Nov. 30, 2014, the integrated M-Class player in the M700 Disc Vault can only play content served by a Premiere server.
Regardless of the purchase date, if the amended service agreement to enable downloads of Disney content from the Kaleidescape Movie Store has been accepted, your system no longer supports the import of Disney Blu-ray discs and DVDs. When inserted into an M700 Disc Vault, Blu-ray discs and DVDs from Disney will be cataloged. Storing these cataloged discs in the M700 Disc Vault allows playback to be fully automated and eliminates the need to handle the disc. Multiple players, including the integrated player in the M700 Disc Vault, can share a disc vault, but playback is supported for just one player at a time.
NOTE: The integrated M-Class player in the M700 Disc Vault is disabled when connected to a Strato system or Cinema One (2nd generation).
Systems purchased from Kaleidescape after November 30th, 2014 are not be able to import CSS-protected DVDs. For more information, please visit CSS-Protected-DVD-FAQs
