In this video, we’ll give you a brief overview of the Kaleidescape M700 Disc Vault and walk you through the process of importing and manage your Blu-Ray discs, DVDs, and CDs.
The M700 Disc Vault is a great way to build an incredible movie collection and will allow you to insert and import up to 320 discs at one time. Built from the ground up to Kaleidescape’s exacting standards, the M700 Disc Vault performs three very powerful functions. It’s perfect for quickly importing hundreds of Blu-Ray discs, DVDs, and CDs onto your Kaleidescape system. It’s a high-capacity Blu-Ray vault, making it easy to enjoy your Blu-Ray movie collection. And, it features a built-in MClass player. It’s also the perfect solution for anyone who loves their Kaleidescape system but has not yet upgraded it for Blu-Ray.
Setup could not be easier.
On the rear panel, you’ll find the audio, video, network, and control connections. Simply connect the Ethernet and power cables. If you’re using the built-in player, make the appropriate audio and video connections. Let’s take a look at the front panel. The first thing you’ll notice is the easy-to-read display. This provides status updates, tells you how many Blu-Ray discs, DVDs, and CDs are in the vault, and also notifies you if you have any issues that may arise, such as a disc being inserted backward. In the center is the slot where you will insert and retrieve your discs, and to the right are three buttons for controlling the M700 Disc Vault.
One of the main benefits of the M700 Disc Vault is how easy it is to copy movies and music onto your Kaleidescape system. You simply insert all your discs, one after another, and let the M700 Disc Vault do the rest. Let me show you how easy it is. Insert your first disc into the slot with the label facing to the right. You’ll immediately be impressed by the precision engineering as the disk is smoothly accepted. Unless the amber lights at the top and bottom of the slot are lit, you can insert another disk. Once we’ve inserted the last of your disks, you’re done. The M700 Disk Vault we’ll take it from here. The loaded disks will be copied automatically onto your Kaleidescape system and will begin to appear in the on-screen display.
While your Blu-Ray discs must remain in the vault to enable playback of your imported Blu-Ray movies, the “options” button allows you to easily manage imported disks directly from the front panel. Cycling through options will allow you to eject all your DVDs at once, all your CDs at once, all discs at once, or all your Blu-Ray discs. Suppose your vault is getting full, and you’d like to eject all of your CDs to make room for more Blu-Ray discs. Simply press “options” three times, and you’ll see “eject all CDs” appear on the display. Press “ok”, and the M700 Disk Vault will eject your disks, one by one, in the order that they were originally inserted.
You can also eject individual disks at any time. Say you’ve got a family road trip coming up and you want to bring Finding Nemo along for the ride. Using the on-screen display, choose a movie and select “eject disc.” The M700 Disc Vault will then find Nemo and make it available at the front panel. It really is that easy!
From the automatic import of Blu-Ray discs, DVDs, and CDs, to the ability to organize hundreds of your discs, the M700 Disc Vault is a wonderful way to build an incredible movie collection.
