With CinemaScape, Kaleidescape makes your home theater more theatrical. Designed to deliver the ultimate cinematic experience in theaters with 2.35 screens, Kaleidescape now offers CinemaScape. Kaleidescape players eliminate the disruptive mode switches and anamorphic lens movement previously associated with 2.35 projection home theaters by performing advanced video processing. CinemaScape makes it easy to enjoy each and every film in its original aspect ratio, with no waiting, no interruptions and no hassle. An added benefit of CinemaScape is the ability to view more titles in the Covers View as well as enjoy all of the information provided in the List View on a single screen.
kOS and 24/7 Monitoring For System Health
Not content to settle for an off-the-shelf operating system, the Kaleidescape team started from scratch to create a flexible, yet incredibly stable, software foundation for the Kaleidescape System. The Kaleidescape Operating System, dubbed kOS, is the base upon which the entire Kaleidescape Experience is built. But beyond this, it is kOS which enables Kaleidescape System owners to enjoy an ever-expanding set of capabilities. Delivered over the Internet as automated updates, past kOS releases have introduced CinemaScape, Kaleidescape Scenes and – most recently – the ability to purchase and download movies directly to the Kaleidescape System.
In order to deliver an uninterrupted entertainment experience, Kaleidescape provides round-the-clock monitoring of a number of critical functions of the Kaleidescape System. In addition to being able to receive system updates and movie guide data for newly imported films, an Internet connection to your Kaleidescape System enables you to take advantage of Kaleidescape's preventative monitoring of operating temperature, connectivity and signs of potential disc failure. This enables us to notify you and your Kaleidescape dealer of issues before they become problems and help to ensure that the show will go on.
